About Build

AI for the Built World: Build has created the agentic AI stack for institutional real estate, automating complex development and acquisitions workflows 90% faster than humans to accelerate the world's most important built projects - digital infrastructure, energy, industrial - from concept to completion.

Our mission is to accelerate and amplify the world's most important built projects - inventing a better way to build through a collaboration between human experts and agentic AI. We envision a future where the world's buildings are driven from concept to completion, autonomously. Without delays, cost, and complexity. Enabling people to deliver a magnitude more deals. To make decisions, build relationships and create.

To start, we're partnering with the world's biggest built world institutions from $T alternative assets investors, prolific developers and even governments to push the frontier of what's possible. We're backed by c-suite from Blackstone and OpenAI alongside the world's best venture capital firms.

Join us in shaping the future of the Built World and exponentially accelerate your career in the process. We welcome you to do your life's work here.

The role

We want you to be extraordinary at raising the standard of everything a customer touches.

At Build, product means anything that reaches a customer: website, marketing pages, sales collateral, demos, customer portals, workflow interfaces, dashboards, reports, exports, emails and the smallest details inside our delivered work. This role exists to make all of it excellent.

You should be unreasonable about quality. Allergic to anything average, confusing or unfinished, while still moving fast and shipping. You should be able to design and build, with strong frontend craft, real taste and ownership across the full customer experience.

You'll own customer-facing surfaces end to end, work closely with James SE, and help define what great design and craft look like at an AI-native company in the built world.

What you'll do

  • Design and build customer-facing surfaces end to end: website, marketing pages, demos, portals, workflow interfaces, dashboards and the details inside delivered work

  • Hold a single, high design standard across everything so Build looks, feels and works like one company

  • Turn complex AI capability into clear, credible interfaces that institutions can understand, evaluate and trust

  • Ship the most important surfaces personally: first-time user experience, core decision paths and flagship demos

  • Build microsites and pages strong enough to travel on their own merit

  • Partner with product and engineering to decide what gets built and in what order, based on user leverage and customer impact

  • Spend time with customers to understand how decisions get made, approved and defended in real projects

  • Treat the small details as part of the product: an export, an email, an empty state, a loading screen

  • Be uncompromising on quality. If it confuses customers or weakens trust, it does not ship

Example projects

  • Ideating and shipping a flagship page end to end: the homepage, a demo page or a microsite strong enough to travel on its own merit

  • Designing and building the first-time user experience: the surfaces that decide whether an institution understands and trusts the product

  • Turning a complex agentic workflow into a clear interface a customer can operate and defend internally

  • Raising the bar on delivered work: redesigning the reports, exports and emails customers actually see

  • Setting the design standard across product and brand so everything looks and feels like one company

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who can both design and build, with strong frontend craft, real taste and an instinct for what excellent looks like. Someone who treats the smallest details (an empty state, an email, an export) as part of the product.

You should be unreasonable about quality: not precious, not slow, but allergic to anything average, confusing or unfinished. You move fast, ship, and own the full customer experience rather than handing it off.

You might be a fit if

  • You can both design and build, with strong frontend craft and the taste to back it

  • You have a track record of shipping high-quality customer-facing surfaces, product or web

  • You're unreasonable about quality and allergic to anything average, confusing or unfinished

  • You move fast and ship; high standards do not make you slow

  • You own outcomes end to end and care about the details others skip

  • You're energised by ambiguity and want to set the design bar at an AI-native company

  • You care about AI, software and the future of the built world

This probably isn't you if

  • You can design but cannot build, or build but have no taste

  • You need tightly scoped specs and cannot operate across the full customer experience

  • You treat polish as optional or the small details as someone else's job

Bonus points

  • Experience designing for complex or technical products, especially AI or data-heavy interfaces

  • Experience building marketing sites or microsites that performed on their own merit

  • Experience as a founder, early designer or early engineer at a high-growth startup

  • An eye for brand, not just product UX

What we offer

  • Radical autonomy, real ownership. High standards. Minimal bureaucracy. You own problems end-to-end, choose how the work gets done, and are accountable for exceptional outcomes. Ownership is matched with meaningful, generous equity.

  • An accelerated founder's track. Build is for builders. If you want to learn what it actually takes to create a generational company – product judgment, execution speed, and accountability – there is no faster path than building from zero when everything is for grabs.

  • Elite teammates, uncompromising bar. You work with people who think clearly, execute relentlessly, and take full ownership. The team you build becomes the company you build. Growth here is not just professional; it reshapes how you operate and in return how Build operates.

  • Perpetual adventure. We attract the strongest of the strange. Extraordinary experiences are part of the culture - from the food we eat together to the space we occupy. Intensity is intentional.

  • Shape the built world. We are rebuilding how the physical world gets made. Our software doesn't live in the abstract - it turns into real projects breaking ground because we exist. We work with the largest institutions, push the frontier of AI, and watch our decisions translate directly into the world around us.
